KATHMANDU, NEPAL, 5 DECEMBER 2019: Today, Er. Dipendra Kandel, met Nepal’s Civil Aviation & Tourism Minister H.E. Yogesh Bhattarai. During this meeting, Er. Kandel had the chance to discuss a variety of topics, in particular, the issues concerning Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and the regulations restricting international passengers bringing alcohol into Nepal.
Accordingly, Er. Kandel presented H.E. Yogesh Bhattarai with a letter, identifying the issues within this topic and providing suggestions in how to fix such problems. Er. Kandel also spoke about situation regarding the over-population of Mount Everest by tourists and what steps could be taken next to tackle this issue.
This letter was well-received by the Minister who was keen to talk more about the topics introduced to him and looks forward to discussing the agendas presented by Er. Kandel in further detail. This is as the two attempt to improve both Nepal’s tourism sector as well as the civil aviation practices taken in the state.
