The “Innovation In IT: Present Scenarios and Future Possibilities” talk show took place in Kathmandu University on 22nd of August 2023.
The talk show was one of the pre-events of Infinity, an annual event held by Kathmandu University of Computational Mathematics(KUCMC). “Innovation in IT: Present Scenarios and Future Possibilities” was the first ever talk show of the first ever annual event where the audience were taken into an exhilarating journey through the ever-evolving landscape of IT innovation.
The talk show featured a distinguished panel of speakers, each offering their unique insights into the evolving landscape of information technology and innovation. Mrs. Simoli Desai, an influential figure in education, currently heading operations at Sunway College, initiated the proceedings with her opening remarks. She emphasized the role of the private sector in shaping educational pathways and cultivating a skilled workforce in the field of IT. Following Mrs. Desai’s remarks, Prof. Dr. Bhadraman Tuladhar, an authority in the education sector and a recipient of the Supraval Gorkha Dakshin Bahu in 1994 with a deep understanding of Nepal’s developmental journey in the field of mathematic and education, shared his experiences and thoughts. He underscored the pivotal role advanced mathematics and skilled manpower play in driving technological advancements in the country. His insights illuminated the significance of creating a conducive environment for IT innovation. As the event unfolded, Mr. Nirdesh Dwa, the visionary leader behind the Veda app, joined the stage to offer his perspectives. Mr. Dwa’s engagement with cutting-edge technology and his successful entrepreneurship journey added a practical dimension to the discussions.
Collectively, the panelists provided a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Nepal’s IT landscape. The event also featured an engaging panel discussion led by Mr. Harish Bhandari, a respected faculty member from the Department of Mathematics at Kathmandu University.
